Today, Thursday, November 14, authorities from Mexico City (CDMX) responded to a report of an accident on Paseo de la Reforma avenue. A driver crashed into a house in the Lomas Bezares neighborhood, Miguel Hidalgo borough, around 6:00 AM. The driver, apparently speeding, lost control of his luxury car and crashed into the house, causing the vehicle to catch fire. Unable to escape, the driver was trapped inside and died burned at the scene. Eyewitnesses alerted the authorities, who found upon arrival that the car was engulfed in flames. The Medical Emergency Rescue Squad (ERUM) and firefighters worked to extinguish the fire visible from several meters away. Fragments of the car scattered in the area caused alarm among the neighbors. Regarding the driver's identity, no details have been revealed. Reports indicate he was driving a BMW, a recognized luxury brand, but his identity remains unknown.
